A family moving into a newly completed apartment in Sector 13 of Uttara discovered on handover inspection that the builder's paint — applied as part of the construction — was low-grade distemper rather than the washable emulsion they had expected. The distemper was already chalking in areas near the windows where morning condensation contacted the wall surface. They booked our home painting service before moving in. Our team assessed the existing distemper surface — distemper must be completely removed before proper emulsion can be applied, as emulsion applied over distemper does not adhere correctly and peels as the distemper layer below it continues to chalk. The distemper was washed down and removed from all surfaces, walls were primed with appropriate wall primer and two coats of good-quality washable emulsion were applied throughout. The family moved into an apartment that looked and performed like a properly finished home rather than a construction-grade painted shell.
