The scratch was through the clear coat and into the colour coat but had not reached the metal primer beneath. When our technician assessed the Wari City's driver's door, the scratch depth confirmed it had not reached primer — meaning the repair could be completed with colour coat touch-up and clear coat over-spray on the door panel rather than full panel respray. The scratch was cleaned, colour touch-up applied in multiple thin coats to build up the colour level, clear coat applied over the repair area and finishing polish blended the repair to the surrounding panel.
