A family in E Block of Bashundhara Residential Area had a blue Hyundai Tucson that had been keyed — a long deliberate scratch running from the front door to the rear door on the passenger side, cutting through clear coat, base coat and in sections through to the primer. Keying damage that runs across panel boundaries is one of the more challenging repair scenarios because the scratch crosses the panel boundary where blending is performed — requiring careful management of the blend at the exact panel edge where the scratch also crosses. Our technician assessed the scratch depth and extent across both panels and planned the repair sequence — door first, then rear door, with the blend performed at the B-pillar trim that separates the two panels. The blue paint was mixed to the Hyundai code and verified before application. Both panels were painted and blended at their respective trim boundaries. The two-panel repair, when examined at the B-pillar, showed no visible evidence of the keying or the repair.
