A family in PC Culture Housing in Adabor had a 10-year-old Toyota Fielder where the car AC had gradually weakened over the previous summer and was now barely cooling on hot afternoons. The Fielder had not had AC service in 3 years. Our technician assessed the system — refrigerant pressure was low and the evaporator was heavily contaminated with a decade of dust and mold. Before any refrigerant was added, the leak test was performed — UV dye and UV lamp found a small seep at the compressor shaft seal. The shaft seal was replaced, the system was pressure tested, the evaporator was cleaned through the housing access point and the system was recharged. On the same visit, the rear seat belt on the left rear seat was found to have webbing damage — a fraying section near the buckle end from a previous catch on a door mechanism.
