The condensate drain slowly narrows. Your AC removes moisture from the air as it cools. This moisture collects in a drain pan and exits through a drain pipe. Algae, mold and accumulated debris narrow this drain over months. When the drain partially or fully blocks, water backs up into the unit — causing water to drip from the indoor unit, odors from the stagnant water and eventually damage to the unit's internal components.
The refrigerant system develops micro-stresses. Refrigerant connections, pipe joints and valve fittings experience repeated thermal expansion and contraction with every AC cycle. Refrigerant Pressure Check
System refrigerant pressure is measured and recorded.
